How do I make a request for a tour?
On the main screen, tap “Ask now for a personalised tour”, fill in the required information and press “Submit” on the right upper corner. That’s all!
How long should I wait for guides to send a response to my request?
It dependes on how specific your request was, the city where you want to go, how busy the guides are… to got the point right? There are several variables in place but we strive to have a pool of guides large enough to ensure a 2-3 days time to response in 99% of the cases.
Where can I see the responses to my request?
In order to see the responses to your request just open your request and scroll down. Your should see a list of the responses submitted and get access to the details. If no responses were submitted, you will see a self-explanatory bold message. We will make sure you receive an email when a response is placed.
How can I be sure I can trust a guide?
At Getta Guide we work only with registered, fully insured, professional guides. We do our best to check new applicants and we gather feedback from your clients. All this information is used to select the best guides in town and feed a continuous improvement strategy
How can I see the details of a tour I have bought?
In order to revise the details of a tour you bought, just go open your request and scroll down to see the tourguide’s responses. Just click any responses to see the details.
I just bought a tour. How can I ask for changes?
You can ask for changes to a tour you bought by sending a message to your guide. Just tap the “Check/send message” button bellow your guide’s profile on your tour plan.
How can I get in touch with a my guide?
You can send a message to your guide through the in-app messaging. After buying a tour, you should see a “Check/send message” button bellow your guide’s profile on your tour plan.
Can I ask for changes to a tour I haven’t bought?
You can only ask for changes after you buy the tour. Most guides are helpful and will accept minor changes without any further costs. If you can’t find a solution that fits your need, set a new request with more specific details.
What’s your cancellation policy?
For tourists: you can cancel at any moment. Any cancelations up to 48h prior to start are eligible to a full refund. After that, a 15% fee will be kept to cover for guide’s losses. For refunds, email hello@getta.guide.

For Guides:
How do I register?
You can apply to become one of our affiliated guides by filling the Apply form on the website. We will revise your application in 1-2 weeks and, if you are eligible, ask for any necessary additional details. Please note that we work only with professional, fully-insured tour guides and travel companies so please have the necessary documents at hand. You will be notified via email when your profile is live; only then you will be able to provide solutions to tourists.
HOW DO I REPLY TO REQUESTS?
In order to reply to a request just go to the “Open Requests” tab in the app, select the request you want to reply to, and scroll down to the “Guides: place a response” blue button. Then fill all the required fields in the form and press “Submit” on the upper right corner. That’s it!
I do not see any open requests in my profile. Why?
Probably because there are none in your area. Just wait, they’ll come.
When do I get paid for my tours? How?
You will have access to the funds immediately after the service is provided to the client. Make sure the client presses “Start” prior to the beginning of your tour, otherwise we will not have proof the service was indeed provided. You should be able to see you current balance in your profile. From there, you can request the withdrawal of funds up to the limit of your balance. We charge no fees for withdrawals above 200€. Below that, we keep a 2% fee to cover for financial costs. The funds are transferred to your account via wire transfer 48-72h after your request.
I work in several locations. May I provide answers to more than one location?
Absolutely! We allow you to provide solutions at any destination where you operate. If you wish to add a new location just send us an email via hello@getta.guide.
I am a guide but I also want to enjoy the tours from other guides. How can I do this?
As a guide you cannot ask for a tour. For that, you should create a separate registration with a different email address: just access the app with the new email and you will receive a code to enter. That's it!
I have a company with several guides. Are the requests centralised or distributed to all my guides?
At Getta Guide we strive for personalisation. Each guide has an individual profile as well as the freedom to provide answers to any request. However, if there is enough interest, we may implement a centralisation method for companies to manage their guides. If you feel that need, drop us an email via hello@getta.guide.
What’s your cancellation policy?
For guides: cancelations are free up to 48h prior to the beginning of the tour. Afterwards, a 15% fee will be kept in order to cover for losses, which will be discounted on your balance. You should make sure the client is aware of the cancelation and you should get in touch with him/her through the in-app chat system prior to cancelation. If you cancel without informing the client we may take measures to exclude you from the guide pool.

May I edit my profile? How?
Yes, absolutely! Go the “My account” tab, click on your picture and then the pencil icon on the upper right corner. Please note that all information should be accurate and you must inform us of any changes you make. We make periodic random verifications and guides with incoherent profiles may be excluded from the pool.
